Lifeguards
Requirements:
  • Must be 15 years of age or older
  • Must hold a valid Red Cross Lifeguard Training, YMCA Lifeguard or Red Cross Water Safety Instructor’s (WSI) Certificate
  • Must hold a valid American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer Certificate
  • If under 16, must hold a valid work permit
  • All certificates must be valid through September 3, 2012.

Duties:
  • Serve as a lifeguard; that is, to rescue people who get into difficulty in the swimming pool
  • Supervise activities in and around the pool to ensure that policies, rules and regulations are observed and enforced and that no hazard to safety is created
  • To inspect pool equipment to identify malfunctions
  • To communicate effectively with staff and the public
  • Other duties as assigned



Concession Workers
Requirements:
  • Must be 14 years of age or older
  • If under 16, must hold a valid work permit

Duties:
  • Staffs daily concessions operations
  • Provides friendly, courteous service to guests
  • Prepares food orders per specifications
  • Other duties as assigned
